I am open to all areas of treatment and believe that there is no problem too big or small to reach out for therapy, as we all need a little support and validation at times. I have a great deal of experience working with teens/young adults and their families. I offer individual, couples and family therapy services. I have over 12 years experience in the mental health field ranging from being a direct care clinician to being a Director of a program and staff. My years of experience in the mental health field working for a variety of agencies has offered me the vast knowledge of resources available in the community, as well as a wide variety of treatment modalities that can be used with different populations and mental health challenges.
I am one of the therapists leading the adolescent DBT multifamily skills training group at our practice, and plan to start some solution focused/skills building groups related to eating disorders, body positivity and improved self esteem. I believe group therapy is a great way for persons to explore themselves and offer an alternative perspective from others who might be wanting to grow in similar areas of life.
I take a humanistic approach to all of my clients and believe that by staying true to myself I am able to gain a better understanding of my clients and their perspective. This modality allows me to better support them and walk beside them as they navigate the difficult, yet rewarding changes in their lives.
