Natasha received her Masters in Clinical Psychology at San Jose State University where her supervisors strongly encouraged and trained in evidence-based and culturally competent treatment planning. She is knowledgeable about the proven effective treatments for psychological disorders including depression, post-traumatic stress disorder, obsessive-compulsive disorder, borderline personality disorder, complicated grief, attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder, and anxiety. She has received extensive training in Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). All of these treatments have profound empirical evidence to support their ability to lead to positive outcomes.
She worked at San Francisco Suicide Prevention (SFSP) and a domestic violence shelter, where she mastered her skills in crisis intervention and harm-reduction. She learned through this experience how to create a safe and comfortable environment for those struggling with depression, loss, and loneliness. In addition, she worked with clients setting and achieving realistic goals.
Natasha is passionate about spending time connecting with those close to her along with engaging in physical activity. She spends much of her free time bicycling around the city, checking out live music, and cuddling her cat and dog.
